I’m Portia Goyette, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families on their paths toward healing, growth, and deeper connection.

I currently offer online therapy for individuals located in Texas, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii, creating a flexible and accessible space for meaningful work, wherever you are.

My journey began in community mental health, where I had the honor of serving individuals and families from all walks of life. I also had the privilege of supervising a team of mental health professionals—an experience that deepened my appreciation for both the clinical and deeply human sides of this work.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been in solo private practice, where I’ve found tremendous fulfillment in walking alongside each person I serve.

My Philosophy

Choosing to enter therapy is a profound act of courage. It’s an acknowledgment that you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone—that healing happens best in connection.

We are relational beings who are inherently designed to share our experiences—from celebration and sorrow—in connection with others. As a human, I understand suffering. As a therapist, my intention is to honor every part of your humanness and walk alongside you in a manner that helps illuminate your inner resources so that you experience an enhanced sense of empowerment, skillfulness, and joyful living.
